February’s Mix & Mingle at The Mon Abri Business Center included an insightful presentation by attorney Grayson Van Horn. Held on the 13th in the large conference room at Mon Abri, guests were treated to breakfast pastries from Panera Bread and complimentary coffee and water. Grayson’s presentation gave an overview of estate planning, with a focus on non-retired individuals under the age of 50.
Grayson began explaining what documents individuals need in case of unexpected occurrences. Documents that include powers of attorney, a will, and a trust. In each case, Grayson emphasized the importance of knowing the weight of each document and how it is crucial to know who is responsible for your affairs in the case that you are incapacitated in any way. Rounding out his presentation, Grayson briefly outlined estate taxes and gift taxes. 
Before wrapping up the Mix & Mingle event, Grayson fielded any and all questions. It was an informative presentation and we hope that all in attendance left with new knowledge of estate planning!
